About the Cribb Marketplace
A place for students in Guelph to pass things on: the desk you bought in first year, the mini fridge nobody wants to move, tickets you can't use.
Buy, sell or give away
Furniture, appliances, kitchen stuff, textbooks, tickets, clothes and more. Set a fixed price, mark it negotiable, or list it for free. Sellers and buyers are verified students with an @uoguelph.ca account.
Or run a timed auction
Bidders set the most they'd pay and the system bids for them, one step at a time, so nobody has to watch the clock. A bid in the final minute resets the clock to one minute, so last-second sniping doesn't work.
Meet and pay each other directly
Cribb doesn't handle payment. You message the other student, agree on a pickup, and pay by e-transfer or cash in person. An auction winner has 24 hours to arrange it before the item goes to the runner-up.
No-shows have consequences
Winning an auction and then disappearing counts as a strike. Three strikes and you can't bid any more. Anything that looks wrong can be reported from the listing.
